rjawad001
is there a reason that the keyboard is an octave off in the piano roll? c4 typically represents middle c. but logic calls this note c3.

rjawad001
oh, i guess japan does things differently?
ski
It's not a Japanese thing. Note that Yamaha and Roland are both Japanese companies. It's simply a matter of their being two different standards for what middle C is called. Pick one.

logic8mine
It is my understanding that the C3 was introduced in deference to the influx of 76, 61 and 49 note keyboards. it simply indicates that the third C from left to right is middle C.
