axs
The title says it all. Is there a way of selecting multiple midi notes in the piano roll according what velocity / color the notes have? Cheers!
David Nahmani
Yes. If you want to select all notes that have the exact same velocity as one selected note, choose Edit > Select > Equal Colored Notes. For more flexibility, for example to select notes within a specific range of velocities, use Window > Open MIDI Transform and make a selection set for example like this:
des99
You can use Logic's Transform window for complex selections - it lets you tell Logic, for example: "In the currently selected regions, SELECT ALL NOTE events on ANY CHANNEL that have a VELOCITY of between 32 and 99" or "greater than 64" or whatever ranges you want. It also lets you change events into other events, but all you need is the ability to select matching events, not do anything to them. Edit: Oops, David posted while I was typing... axs
Kick a**. I seemed to remember this being possible, but have been using 2-3 hours trying to figure out if it was just my imagination. Thanks a zillion!
