Menu options randomly different for different users

I am trying to set up Logic Pro version 10.1.0 on a suite of Macs in an education environment. I am a computer technician and not at all knowledgeable about Logic or any computer music system! Specs of Macs at bottom of post.

When some users log onto a test Mac in the suite and open Logic, they are presented with a different interface and menu options that other users. I have attached screenshots of users with both the 'bad' and 'good' interfaces creating a new project and then opening the File/Project Settings menu, revealing some of the differences.

Both of these users are test accounts and I am baffled as to why this difference is arising. Could any Logic experts shed any light, please?

Setup:

iMac (Mid 2007)

OS X Mavericks 10.9.5

4GB RAM

2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

250GB Seagate SATA internal hard drive

No external devices except mouse and keyboard installed while testing

Some users have this interface. I would like all users to have it.

Some users have this interface. I would like them to have the other.
