cybercampbell
Whats a good Hardware Surround Panner for Logic Pro? Will the Digidesign Panner work with Logic...they say it only works with PT TDM...but i'm assuming they don't wont to advertise it works with logic. If anyone has any knowledge on this.... please....do tell! Thanks C
bryla
You should never expect something from Digidesign to work in other things than PT, and generally take their word for it when they say it only works in PT. TDM is afak not even supported by Logic. Is it because you want a joystick?

bryla
haven't tried it though, but it is one of these then: http://www.jlcooper.com/pages/mcspan.html http://www.jlcooper.com/pages/mcsorb.html it says it's compatible with DP, and there i *think* it may be compatible with Logic
fader8
There's a fundamental problem with this. Joystick controllers output their control as xy values. Logics panner is controlled by angle and diversity, (pan and distance from center). That would be a right tricky equation to convert those parameters. cybercampbell
So does anyone make a joystick for logic?....It's a bit tricky doing some things with a mouse.....I worked out how to manually automate the angle and diversity controllers but I’m a bit oldschool and like to be hands on....ahh...I reminisce of the days when the whole band would be armed with a Fader and some Mute buttons each....Ready to put down that "one take" Mix....not really ....It was fun but way too stressful....I now automate in Logic or Protools then run everything through my analogue desk (Amek G2520 - just thought I'd drop that baby in )... I was kinda hoping I can get something that I can mount into the console itself.....I have a few spare slots in the master section. Any way....I'll keep looking.
