When I have "plug-in" unchecked in automation preferences, I can't record volume automation in audio tracks. In any kind of tracks for that matter. A little more exploration reveals: pan moves also don't write unless the "plug ins" box is checked mute behaves as expected volume data is written when the "volume" box is unchecked but "plug ins" is checked Anybody else?
