How to send midi from LPX to external device?

Hey guys

 

I'm quite stuck with this specific way of using LPX.

 

You see, I've hooked up my old Nintendo (Sweet) to record some cool stuff using the ChipMaestro cartridge. So...what I want to do is the following.

 

Send a midi composition from LPX into the Chipmaestro. So a send-midi option (using the mac as a keyboard basically) so that LPX is feeding the Nintendo and I can record the sound through audio in on my interface.

 

Midi from LPX, into Nintendo (Chipmaestro), back through audio in on interface.

 

Anybody that knows how to do this?

 

I'm using: A Macbook Pro with Yosemite, Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt, Chipmaestro, Nintendo 8bit .

Place the MIDI data on an external MIDI track, and select the MIDI port connected to the Nintendo in the Library.

Thanks, only thing is...the ensemble doesn't have a midi out or in. So I've got this thing, will that work???
