ASBraes
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. Logic Pro 9 user, using a Cakewalk UA-25 EX interface and a Behringer C-1 condenser mic...and my vocals are peaking - when recording - no matter what I do. I even stuck a limiter on it (-6DB) to see what would happen...waveform looks good...never went into the red...vocals were definitely that bit quieter...STILL PEAKING! Now they're quiet AND distorted?! Not sure what i'm meant to do as if i turn the 'sens/trim' down anymore, or stand further back from the mic, i'll lose all clarity on my vocals. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks guys
David Nahmani
Anything you do in Logic will not help as it only affects the signal post-recording. You need to turn down the gain knob on your mic preamp on your audio interface in order to turn down the gain pre-recording.
