Rigger
Hi, i have recently upgraded my whole home studio and started using Logic Pro X as my DAW, so far I'm pretty impressed but i have stumbled across a very annoying problem with the amp designer. The problem is that i just can't seem to get it to work as I'm playing, all i can hear is my dry guitar signal coming straight through the interface. Now... If i record my dry guitar signal and play it back, it works! I can change through all the amp models and change the tone of my dry signal, so basically my question is how do i get it to work when i just want to play and not have to record a piece and play it back to hear the amp models? Am i missing something or is this not a feature of Logic Pro X? Im really hoping I'm missing something! Thanks for any help/Advice. James. des99
Enable Software Monitoring in the audio preferences of Logic.
David Nahmani
First, turn monitoring OFF in your audio interface software. Then, select the software monitoring checkbox in Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio. Click this link to your signature and add your system information: • Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.7) • OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.3) • Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac) • Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) • Memory (e.g. 2GB) • Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB) • MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49) (most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and > About This Mac)
