AMD
Hi everyone. Logic's basic limiter has an extended parameters area. The manual says it contains the "Inter Sample Peak Detection checkbox (Extended Parameters area): Select to detect inter-sample peaks in the signal". There are 3 modes there. Does anyone know what they do, or what the difference is between them? Thanks.
des99
Looks to me like the "Mode" selector lets you choose the limiter behaviour - the first mode is the standard Logic 4 - Logic 9 limiter behaviour, the second mode is a new Logic Pro X limiter behaviour (presumably they've changed/improved the limiter algorithm for LPX), and the third mode is the LPX Inter-sample peak detector mode. So if you want to handle inter-sample peaks, use that third mode.
