noalbany
Hi, I'm using the latest Logic X, Apogee Duet 2, UAD-2 Sattelite. I keep getting a stop message while recording about a conflict of midi rate--the Duet is at 44.1, the message is some five -six digit number starting with 49..... Someone suggested trashing my Logic preferences to see if it helps. Any advice out there? Many thanks!
Eric Cardenas
You can trash your preferences if you'd like but I'm not so sure that that is the problem. What is your I/O buffer set to? Click this link to your signature and add your system information: • Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic Pro X 10.1.1) • OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS X Yosemite 10.10.3) • Computer (e.g. MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, iMac) • Processor (e.g. 2.2 GHz Intel i7) • Memory (e.g. 8GB) • Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. RME Babyface) (most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and > About This Mac)

des99
Also, forgot to write earlier, I have no apple logic pref plist file on my internal hd. Yes you do, you're probably just not looking in the right place: /Users/*you*/Library/Preferences/
noalbany
I have no "Library" or "Preferences" folder(s) there. Nor do I have it in the main Library folder.
Eric Cardenas
The preference file is located here: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic10.plist The user Library is hidden by default but you can get to it by holding down option while navigating through the Go menu in finder. noalbany
Found it, thanks. Would you suggest trashing it? Also, where would you suggest to buy more memory online? many, many thanks.
Eric Cardenas
You can just drag it to your desktop if you'd like to keep it. Try it! If you find that it doesn't fix anything you can always drag it back.
noalbany
I will thanks. But I have nothing on it anyway. It regenerates when Logic reboots, right? Thanks again.
Eric Cardenas
Yes. Make sure that you quit Logic before trashing the preference file. When launching Logic again it will create a new fresh one for you.
noalbany
Thanks. Lastly, do you know of a good online site where I can buy more memory, perhaps cheaper than Apple? Thanks so much.
Eric Cardenas
It totally depends on where you are located? If You are in the US you could try: Apple Mac Memory Upgrades From OWC.
