10pa
Hello! I have automated volume swells. They sounded all right. Then I added EnVerb with Reverse Reverb Long preset. And the swells don't sound since then. When I delete the EnVerb, the automated volume swells are back to normal. If I slow down the tempo significantly, the swells start to sound again. To test I created a new project with two tracks: one with some volume swells, the second one with EnVerb Reverse Reverb. Sounds all right. My original project is quite heavy, although no CPU overloads. I also tried changing the Sample Accurate Automation (Logic Preferences > Audio > General tab) to Volume, Pan, Sends, Plug-In Parameters. No effect. The problem persists both if the EnVerb's Reverse Reverb in the Insert slot or in the Bus. Usual not reversed reverb presets in the EnVerb don't cause the problem. Ideas? 10pa
I also bounced the project off-line: that won't help, the swells are not right.
Eriksimon
Hello! I have automated volume swells. They sounded all right. What did you automate? The channel fader, or a plugin parameter? And did you use Track Automation, or MIDI CC? Then I added EnVerb with Reverse Reverb Long preset. And the swells don't sound since then. When I delete the EnVerb, the automated volume swells are back to normal. If I slow down the tempo significantly, the swells start to sound again. To test I created a new project with two tracks: one with some volume swells, the second one with EnVerb Reverse Reverb. Sounds all right. The only scenario I can think off is that you've automated a plugin, and that plugin gets re-ordered by inserting the Enverb and thus "looses touch" with the automation. If you have just used track based volume (makes the fader move) or MIDI CC then inserting the plugin should not make this difference. Can you show a screenshot, or even better, upload a stripped down project exhibiting this issue? (You need to .zip the project before uploading). 10pa
Eriksimon, thanks for the help. Ultimately I took the EnVerb away from the project (because it still did not sound right).
