cabmanguffy
I use a Motu audio interface in the studio with 10 active outputs assigned from Logic Pro X. When I bring my laptop elsewhere to work on Logic, I have to assign all the outputs to 'Stereo Out' so I can hear them through my 2 channel mixer and then I have to reassign to the 10 Outputs back in the studio. Is there any way to instruct Logic to play all outputs through the 'Stereo Out' when it can't find multiple outputs to play from?
Eriksimon
Two thoughts: Can't you simply select all channel strips assigned to the MOTU outputs and set them to the stereo out in one action? (that doesn't solve having to change them back though, I just realized...) Or, you could also try using an Aggregate Device, in which you combine the MOTU and the Stereo out into one virtual audio interface (now with 12 outputs) - create sends on all the MOTU output channel strips, set them to unity, set the aux to the stereo output. This way you do not have to reassign anything.
cabmanguffy
Thanks for the suggestions - I need to have an Aggregate with 12 outputs that will work without the MOTU being connected ( I leave it at the studio and work at home without it ) - the 12 outs aggregate option disappears when the MOTO isn't connected and I am back with 2 outputs linked to my MacBook. I am missing something here I know....?
