How to automate V-Synth XT's E1 controller with a ramp

I have a V-Synth XT connected via MIDI to my iMac, and I have managed to record the MIDI message from the E1 controller on the V-Synth. What I have is a wobbly line in Logic on the recorded region and the V-Synth is not getting the right values. I would like to experiment by drawing a smooth line (a ramp) in Logic to automate this control. I know the message is a control message on MIDI channel 1, but I don't know how to draw the line for the correct message / numbers.

Hi,

You can do this via MIDI Draw, which can be accessed directly in the Tracks area or via the Piano Roll and Score editors:

The Autodefine command (View > MIDI Draw > Autodefine, or use the key command) is useful for going through all MIDI messages currently present in the region, allowing you to view and edit them.

J.
