Trebilco
Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. When I go to bounce a session in realtime, there's no output level, and I end up with an empty file. Also, once I hit the bounce button, I have to restart Logic to get any sound back at all. Thanks a lot! Mike
Eriksimon
If there's no output level, then the silent file makes sense. The question is: why is there no output level? Are the output - and master fader open? Is there signal on the output meter? Why are you bouncing realtime? What happens when you bounce offline? Also, does the project play back normally, without overload stops? What happens if you bounce offline?
Trebilco
The faders are all open, but there are no levels showing on the output meter. Bouncing offline is fine, but I have an arpeggiator going. Playback is otherwise fine. Thanks, m
Eriksimon
I'd have to introduce you to the first three painfully simple steps of comabtting weird anomalies: 1. just simply save (cmd-S) the project. This reorganizes and "decorrupts" RAM content. If that doesn't help, then 2: save, close; quite Logic, reopen the project. If that doesn't help, then 3. save, close, quit Logic, shut down the Mac, start up the Mac, wait 3-4 minutes after startup (system will be performing all sorts of background tasks, the first minutes after startup), start up Logic. If all that doesn't help, then try a bounce-in-place (bip) of the Arpeggiated track.
Trebilco
Thanks. Unfortunately, none of those things have worked. Also, the .bip option is greyed out on the arp track.
Eric Cardenas
Sounds like something is triggering a core audio crash. What happens if you use the built in interface instead and set the I/O buffer to 512 samples?
Trebilco
Sorry man, What do you mean by using the built-in interface? I can set the buffer no problem of course.
Trebilco
Same result (or lack of) at 512 samples.
Eric Cardenas
Choose > Preferences > Audio > Devices and change the output/input to built-in input/output. Then try a realtime bounce.
