jhellvik
Help! I've just started up with logic and I think it is anything but! Lots of problems that just seemed so intuitive with Pro Tools. Right now the problem I have is with separating MIDI events by notes/pitch. The track splits fine...BUT the new tracks are still joined in volume, panning, soloing, muting etc. What is the freaking point in separating a track if all the separate tracks are still joined????? ANNOYING AS F@CK! I'm sure there is a solution but right now I'm so angry at LPX that my cat has dug itself deep into the farthest corner of my apartment...and that is NOT ok! Please tell me there is a way to fix this
Eric Cardenas
Calm down, take a deep breath. Splitting the MIDI into different regions has many advantages so it is not given that it should also create new channel strips. Logic and Pro Tools are pretty different in this regard. What you want to do is to duplicate the tracks, this way you are forcing logic to create new channel strips with duplicate settings. Move the regions there instead and delete the redundant tracks.
