workman
Hi, I've been using Logic 9 (OS 10.8.5) and am now migrating to a new Mac (Mavericks) and at the same time upgrading to Logic X. I plan to do a fresh install of Logic X, all third party plug ins and Virtual Instrument Libraries; then drag all Project Folders over. However, I'm not sure how to migrate the user-defined preferences that I've created within Plugins (both Logic and Third Party). (Plugin User Preference files?) I can't find them. Can anyone please advise me on how to do this? I hope to not have to recreate them all!!! Many thanks.
des99
It varies depending on the plugin. Often they stick them in the user preferences folder, sometimes it's in an appsupport/company folder, sometimes it's elsewhere. As long as you backup the drive you'll be able to recover any files off it you missed after you do the upgrade...
