CML9
I'm very new to this: the synth sounds you hear from professional producers for baselines and whatnot- are those sounds created by them through plug ins? In logic, I feel like there's no good sounds in ES2. How do I make or get original sounds?
anp27
I'm very new to this: the synth sounds you hear from professional producers for baselines and whatnot- are those sounds created by them through plug ins? It seems that most producers these days are using plugins, but there are some producers who use actual hardware synths. In logic, I feel like there's no good sounds in ES2. How do I make or get original sounds? Ever heard of Lady Gaga? Her smash hit "Just Dance" uses the ES2 primarily. In fact, you can hear the ES2 all over 'The Fame' album. ES2 is quite a good synth, although I don't like that much. That's just a personal preference. As anp27 wrote world class producers seem to use and love it. How you do them? By training, training and again training. Exercise yourself in sound design. But actually there are already great presets in ES2. Go thru them and see how they are setup. But if you don't like its own distinctive sound, you have to buy another synth, or try Logic's Retro Synth. It's a matter of taste and synths sound different.
