Ooter
I've got ten 7 minute wav files (representing different sections from my singing group), and I have been fighting with logic to get it to play them at the correct tempo. Even if i just import one file it plays it at about quarter speed. I have tried adjusting the tempo, however it just shifts the way that it marks the bar marks, and does not actually play the files differently. I'm sorry im a noob, and I did try searching, but i did not come up with anything =/ Any help would be greatly appreciated Alec
Plowman
Most likely, you've got a sound file that was recorded at 48K, and you're playing it back at 44.1K In the Program menu (the top white bar with the Apple on the far left), Audio / Sample Rate / 48000 will fix it, if this is the case. Audio files are fixed in time. They must be processed to speed up or slow down (at least, that is the default in Logic). As you have discovered, playback tempo is primarily for MIDI output.
