does anyone know if a VST to AU wrapper works for Machfive?

the machfive au is incompatible with Logic so i want to try the VST to AU wrapper (Xpansion) ... before i shell out the money i just wanted to see if anyone has tried this yet.

Paul, I assume you are talking about the latest MachFive 1.2.3? Although it wants to fail the AU Validation, you can tell the Validator you want to run it anyway. You'll always get the annoying "You are using incompatible Audio Untis" Dialogue box, but MachFive runs just fine regardless. I went back to running 1.2.2b1 cause i was sick of seeing the warning, but like a say, 1.2.3 will run fine

do you have the option to select different outputs (main, bus 1-2, etc) and are ALL the machfive fx coming up (ie, all the reverbs)? because i don't get either of these in Logic with AU, but get them in DP.

You have to load the Multi Channel Mach Five, rather than the Stereo

that's where i have it selected from, the multi menu. when i select "Main" in machfive there is no drop down menu to give me any other selection other than that.

 

also, do you see any of the reverbs in the effect list?

doh ... the manual says that it doesn't have the multi out option in Logic.

you know... Mach Five V2 works perfectly in logic 8, as far as i can tell so far

 

worked perfect in lp7 too.
