Custom Min/Max value with Modulator

So I have been using the Modulator and it's great! However, can I set a custom Min and Max value for the signal? For example, if I wanted to have a LFO to control the filter to 10 to 30, instead of 0 to 127, can I? If so, how so? Under "Controller Assignments..." I set the Min/Max to 10 and 30, but that doesn't work. Also, tried to play with different Format, Multiply, and Mode settings...but it will still go from 0 to 127, but only move it when it passes the 10 to 30 values...kinda confusing but in short it doesn't go to just 10 and 30. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Tried to find a thread that covers this already, but didn't find anything.

Right, I tried this and although it works, it will use 63.5 as the center point to "orbit" around. I need to have it oscillate between 10 to 30... not 53.5 to 73.5. Does that make sense? Essentially, I want to move the center point it "orbits" around. I hope that's clear as it appears my first post wasn't...

As this is different, should I post this question in that other thread? This seemed more specific, so it seemed logical to make a new topic for it.

The manual talks about this, but doesn't give good explanation on practical use of the Controller Assignments window...Kind of a bummer.

Hi,

Once again, use the Output Level slider to set a range. Then use the Offset slider to "move the center point it orbits around".

These sliders have their own scale of values and they will most likely be different to the scale used by the parameter you're modulating, so you either do some math or do it by eye. Either way, it works, as you can see in the Modulator's graph:

Hmm...it appears this is where the confusion is. When you said "offset slider" I thought you were referring to changing the symmetry of the sine wave...This is how my modulator looks:

There is no offset fader.

That screenshot is my modulator plugin...It appears to be missing the offset fader.

I looks like most are this way too. I don't see the manual talking about the offset slider either. Yours has an offset slider though.

Sounds like both your manual and version of Logic are outdated.

Click this link to your signature and add your system information:

• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.7)

• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.3)

• Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac)

• Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)

• Memory (e.g. 2GB)

• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB)

• MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49)

(most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and  > About This Mac)
