Playing Midi I´m getting Notes that I definitely don´t play

Hi Guys,

I use Logic Pro X, an Alesis O2 Interface and an old Roland RD-170 Stage Piano.

My problem: When I´m recording Midi, or just playing Midi using a standalone, there are always some Notes I definitely don´t play, they just appear while playing or recording.

I contacted the support from Native Instruments because I´m usually using the Alicias Keys Plugin and the support-guy did a remote session on my computer. He diagnosed that my Roland Stage Piano would send an Active Sense Signal which causes the Notes I don´t play. So I got myself an old Akai Stage Piano that a friend does´t need no longer and tried again, but the problem is still there. I could´t find out, if this Akai Piano has Active Sense too.

My question: Is it definitely an Active Sense issue or maybe something else? It seems a bit strange that it happens with both instruments

an answer would be very nice,

Viech

Posting your detailed system specs, as stipulated in this Board rule #5 could help us help you....

Have you tried turning Local Off on your keyboard?

Do you have an unduely installed MIDI controller installed in your setup window?

One easy way to trouble shoot such issue is to temporarily disable all control surfaces (legit or not) by choosing:

Logic Pro > Control Surfaces > Bypass all Control Surfaces.

If that solves (temporarely) the problem, chances are that you have an unduely installed MIDI controller installed in your Control Setup window (accessed via Logic Pro > Control Surfaces > Setup). Deleting the same should solve your issue.
