Thanks a lot!

Yeah I don't hit play or anything on a track. I just select the track and it's as if i am holding a key down and it repeatabley plays a synth note over and over again

Any MIDI equipment connected to your computer?

• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.7)

• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.3)

• Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac)

• Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)

• Memory (e.g. 2GB)

• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB)

• MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49)

Thanks.

I am using a novation impulse 25 but the problem still occurs when I disconnect the midi device from laptop.

I will check out that link that you gave me thanks a lot :)

In that case you must have something in Logic's Control Surface Setup window (probably Novation/Automap-related). To check whether that's the case go to Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Bypass All Control Surfaces. If that makes it stop, then you do have something in your Control Surfaces Setup that needs taking care of.
