eepyikes
What...why is the midi velocity limiter changing the value of the sustain pedal?!!!!! Is there any way around this?
Jordi Torres
Hi, What velocity limiter are you referring to? Please click this link to your signature and add your system information: • Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.7) • OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.3) • Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac) • Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) • Memory (e.g. 2GB) • Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB) • MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49) (most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and > About This Mac) Thanks. eepyikes
The one in the midi region piano roll, Functions-->midi transform-velocity limiter. Is there another one? If so , please specify where. I just want to limit the velocities of notes, on a sloppy performance for example, or on testy round-robin notes. But it appears to also change the sustain pedal value? Atlas007
The MIDI note sustain-velocity relationship is often found in a synth plugin parameter setting (i.e. Envelope Release). Which could usually be adjusted (re-scaled or disconnected altogether)...

That's a Transform window preset. It should only affect note events, unless maybe you got Functions > Include Non-Note MIDI Events checked? J. Jordi Torres
Alright, finally got to check this out in Logic... I can confirm the behavior you describe. All it takes for this to happen is to have the sustain events selected (regardless of the "include non-note events" deal). I hadn't noticed this before but maybe it's not new. This behavior makes no sense (bug) as the condition is set to affect notes, not controller events. In the meantime, make sure only your notes are selected when using this preset. J.
