Composer14464
I'm not exactly sure how to word this question and I may not use all of the correct Logic terminology. When I set my time signature to x/2, it seems that logic continues to use a quarter note as the basis for the number of beats per minute. So for example, if I set the signature to 3/2 and the tempo to 80, it would play at half the speed you would expect it to when conducting in 3/2 at a tempo of 80 bpm. To get the correct tempo, I have to raise the bpm in Logic to 160. Now, in the score editor, I can put a half not equals symbol and Logic knows the value is 80. But my question is, is there a way to get Logic to display the correct tempo at the top of the screen, as well as in the score editor? I'm attaching a screen shot, so hopefully you can see what I'm referring to. Thanks in advance!
ski
Unfortunately, no. Tempo markings added from the part box are linked to the actual tempo of the project.
