Logic Tempo Question

I'm not exactly sure how to word this question and I may not use all of the correct Logic terminology. When I set my time signature to x/2, it seems that logic continues to use a quarter note as the basis for the number of beats per minute. So for example, if I set the signature to 3/2 and the tempo to 80, it would play at half the speed you would expect it to when conducting in 3/2 at a tempo of 80 bpm. To get the correct tempo, I have to raise the bpm in Logic to 160.

Now, in the score editor, I can put a half not equals symbol and Logic knows the value is 80.

But my question is, is there a way to get Logic to display the correct tempo at the top of the screen, as well as in the score editor?

I'm attaching a screen shot, so hopefully you can see what I'm referring to. Thanks in advance!
