Christopher11
I have a groove that is disjointed because each region does not start at the beginning of the bar. I used to be able to open a float in Logic 7 that would allow me to reposition any region to the exact beat/measure I wanted. Can you tell me if there's a similar feature in LPX? I searched but couldn't find it. Also, please tell me how to get Logic to show me all this in beats and time. I currently have the display mode on the transport bar set to Beats & Project, but in the main window it's still showing time when I drag the region. I need to see the numbers listed at the top of that window (where markers go) in beats and time, and move regions in beats and time. Thank you for any reply. Much appreciated! Eric Cardenas
What you want to use is the Event Float. But you can just quantize the regions in the regular event if you want to save some time.
Christopher11
Eric, you are so kind to write back, thank you! Can you tell me please how to set the ruler bar in Main Window (what they used to call the Arrange Window) to beats / measures instead of time? I've been stuck on that, and I think it will help me quantize the way you suggest.
Eric Cardenas
Sure. Choose File > Project Settings > General and check Use musical grid.
