deckard1
Hi, I am using an IK Multimedia iRig Keys MIDI controller at the moment. Is it possible to adjust the sensitivity of the velocity on MIDI controllers? Does it depend on which type (i.e. brand) of MIDI controller one is using? I know the velocity values range from 1 through 127, but, it seems I am only getting certain discrete values...like 4 or 5 different values between 1 and 127. I guess a workaround would be to open the Piano Roll and adjust the velocity values manually...but, this is too time consuming. Thought there might be an easier way? Thanks. Eric Cardenas
It depends on the hardware itself. There are plenty of controllers that provide different curves for sensitivity. You can always alter the sensitivity in Logic to by choosing a combination of the dynamics and velocity parameter either in the region or track inspector but if you only have 4-5 discrete values that won't help you much. Thanks, Eric. I had a feeling that was the case. I assume the more velocity sensitivity options offered on a controller, the more expensive the controller actually costs to the consumer?
