volovicg
One way..... Make sure join with selected region is selected in preferences. Highlight the region first then press record.
Jordi Torres
Hi, To prevent new MIDI recordings from overwriting previous ones, set your drag mode to Overlap. This is new, Logic Pro X-exclusive behavior. J.
Eric Cardenas
Hi, To prevent new MIDI recordings from overwriting previous ones, set your drag mode to Overlap. This is new, Logic Pro X-exclusive behavior. I don't think it is. The issue is that Overlap was the default in LP9 and now No Overlap is in Logic Pro X. And you should be able to record with a selected region even if Drag mode is set to No Overlap.
volovicg
I am not in front of Logic to absolutely verify. But I don't recall the drag mode affecting how join with selected regions behaves. I "believe" it operates the same way regardless of whether overlap or no overlap is chosen.
