Melodist
Hello there, I've been wondering whether there is a way to split each side of a stereo bus / the stereo mix to apply dedicated / variable processing. For Pro Tools Users, this is as easily feasible as to select "multi mono plugin" (amongst creating auxes for each bus, which is another variant), which allows for dedicated / split processing on each side. stardustmedia
You could use two sends on all channels. Send to buss 1 and buss 2. Set all channels to no output. Set buss 1 & 2 to output 1&2 (stereo master out) and set both busses to mono and pan them. Now you can do split processes. This is flexible solution if you don't want to split-process all channels, then you can just remove the sends from the channels and route them directly to the master out. Otherwise you can set the master out to mono. You'll get two mono master outs. Do your processing on each channel independently.

David Nahmani
Mike, click the input format button (top left of the channel strip, to the left of the input slot) on the Aux that receives the bus, and choose Left, or Right. To create additional Auxes, in the Mixer, choose Options > Create New Auxiliary Channel Strip. For example in the screenshot below, the instrument gets a Channel EQ on the left side and an Echo on the right side:

Oh okay so I select the same bus and only take the left side I mean, two busses, both bus 1 and down in the left corner on one instance only left and on the other only right? No panning needed in addition?
Eric Cardenas
Yes, pan them fully to keep stereo separation.
