Audio Hardware Driver problem

Every time I open Logic i must reset the driver from my Digidesign HW (HD) to Built-in Audio and then back again to the Digidesign. How can i set this preference to hold?

It should just hold. If it doesn't, something might be wrong with your preference file. Try quitting Logic, moving ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro to your desktop, and try again.

I trashed the preferences as instructed and it seems to have worked. I'll know more the next time I work in Pro Tools and then come back to Logic. That's when it gets corrupted.
