Live Sampling Trick

here's a real quick trick i use for recordings and arranging samples:

(mind you, assign these commands to key commands - that way u get it done really quickly)

 

1. get Ultrabeat or the ESX24 ready.

2. push record

3. strip silence and set threshold

4. audio->convert regions to new audio files

5. put 'em where u want them

6. now drag and drop to Ultrabeat

 

ofcourse, this is best suited if you sample drums or other percussive material.
