Resampling while you work?

I'm trying to resample my output from "Audio Instrument 1" to "Audio 1". Basically i want to capture the audio while i tweak but i can't seem to figure out what step im missing to route it properly.

Running LP7 & MOTU Ultralite.

solo the audio instrument and bounce real-time whilst tweaking what has to be tweaked. After that just import the bounce audio file to audio track 1.

you can't tweak while its bouncing thus me trying to resample the output.

I literally just purchased Logic Studio.

Been using Cubase/Ableton Live for years.

I'm curious if the conclusion of this thread has changed with Logic 8? I thought I read that you could route one channel to another for recording in Logic 8 (like "resampling" in Ableton Live) but I can't find a way to do this..

Thanks in advance, and feel free to point me to a previous thread or manual page if there is something I missed.

I don't think this addresses the original poster's question, but I just accomplished what I need to do via the Metric Halo Console's routing options.

I need to record specific cells from a Battery 3 kit by triggering them via the cursor (not MIDI). I routed a duplicate of the master bus to a new audio channel (muted of course), and recorded the hits that way.

Kind of the long way to town, this would've been much easier in Ableton Live. I have a feeling this can be done in Logic 8 without leaving the project to do routing (soundflower/physical patching etc..) Someone please set me straight on this, as I have a lot of this I need to do.
