producer preset is not a drummer track [SOLVED]

drums - producer presets

So I know how to create a stereo drummer track and have it auto-populate the track

But when I choose a producer preset it apparently is not a drummer track....but is a midi track

Is there a way to apply the producer presets to a drummer track and have it stay a drummer track

anyone? how to convert to (apply) producer preset while keeping it a drummer track?

Select your drummer track, open the Library and select a producer kit ?

that applies a producer kit not a producer preset

I think there is no way to achieve what you want. You have to do it as JakobP suggested, and you will loose your settings, then you get a drummer track set up as a producer kit.

I usually immediately switch to a producer kit when i open a new drummer track because it has a nice setup and way more options/samples. Hope this helps.

What do you mean by producer preset? Where do you access those?

its working now...seems like logic pro x has intermittent bugs as it was not working before (or I am loosing my mind...either is possible)

 

so yes, as of now it is working... create stereo Drummer Track > Choose from Producer Kits = changes to multi and adds pre-mixed drum tracks
