emperor12
Hi Guys. I am just wondering if you can recommend the quickest and easiest way to get a nice 808 kick sound in Logic Pro X. There are just so many options these days, that I don't know which is best haha. Drum Machine Designer? Much thanks and have a great music making weekend. =)
fisherking
do you want to play it at different pitches? ie like a bass line? anyway, you can google it, there are lots of free sampled 808 sounds online. find a good one, save it somewhere "logical" on your mac then open it in the EXS24...and you can do whatever you want from there. for example: https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=808+bass+drum+sample&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-
Atlas007
Are'nt there any in Logic already?
SRF_Audio
Ultrabeat->Drums Kits->Boutique 808? Alternately, Channel Strip Setting->Legacy->Logic->Drums & Percussion->Electronic Drums->Roland TR-808 Kit. The second includes some EQ and compressor settings. emperor12
I thought there was one drum machine option that was synthesized but I was wrong. Thanks guys, I will use these. =)
SRF_Audio
Also, ESX 24 has a few 808 options under the drums & percussion category. I'd be shocked if there wasn't an 808-ish kit available in drum machine designer...but it's not labeled by that name. But for most logic presets, anytime you see "classic hip hop" or "analog beats" in the description, it's most likely inspired by that era of drum synth.
