Karolryba007
So I'm trying to change the velocity of some notes (in piano roll of course), however its not doing anything. Im using Sylenth1. Thanks xx
SRF_Audio
Can you be a little more specific? Are you saying that the velocity value isn't changing in the piano roll, or that the triggered Sylenth patch isn't reacting to the differing velocity values? SRF_Audio
A few questions, just so we can potentially narrow down where the problem might be: 1) Is it velocity sensitive to your live keyboard/MIDI controller playing? 2) If you set the velocity of one note to 1, and the very next note to 127, are they sounding at exactly the same intensity? 3) Does it change behavior if you change the patch within Sylenth? 4) If no to 3, does a different plugin (using the same track) respond to velocity changes? Eric Cardenas
I don't use sylenth but couldn't it just be that this particular patch is programmed to behave the same regardless of the velocity value? Can you post a screenshot of that patch?

I think it might be something in Sylenth1 that prevents the velocity from changing. Like you two have said^. But how can i make the Sylenth1 patch react to velocity? Thnx <
SRF_Audio
I don't have sylenth, but taking a look at the interface in this picture: https://www.lennardigital.com/sylenth1/screenshot.jpg It looks like you can use velocity as a source to effect other parameters down in the Misc 1+2 sections (bottom right corner). Perhaps in that patch, velocity is being used for another function besides dynamics. Find a patch where velocity is working correctly, and then compare the settings to the patch where it doesn't, and see if you can find the culprit. Karolryba007
Will do. Will post results shortly thanks!
