872320300
in logic pro x is it better to run separate instances of omnisphere / contact or use multitimbral and try to put everything in one instance?
jtnyc
Separate instances is the way to go in Logic. Logics use of only a single core for a record enabled track makes using multitimbral instances problematic. It depends on your system and what kind of instruments your using, but multitimbral instances with complicated scripts and large ram requirements can end up slamming that single core while your trying to record those tracks. I always use one instance per instrument.
simon.a.billington
Although, to keep everything ordered "together" just as you would a multi-timbrial, you could always grip them in a folder stack or summing stack.
