midi sordino
Hi, I'm a film composer who started using Logic Pro X a few months ago. Prior to that I'd used Pro Tools/ VE Pro for all my midi composing. Have to say I'm loving LPX for midi. It's a great composition tool. One thing that bugs me is not being able to separate split tracks when the editor sends me a Quicktime file with dialogue & fx on one channel and temp score on the other. Is there a way to do this without importing the audio? If I do need to import the audio to do this then is there a simple way to do it? This is one area of Logic that seems needlessly complicated... Thanks, M
Eric Cardenas
Yes. You will have to import audio into Logic if you want to split the signal within Logic.
midi sordino
Hi Eric, Thank you for the quick response. What is the easiest way to split the stereo track once it's imported?
Eric Cardenas
Easiest way in Logic Pro X is to duplicate the track (option - drag the track header down or up) then click holt the input format button on track 1 and choose left. Do the same for track 2 but choose right. /Mira Sorvino
