steveBMXer
Hello, Hope everyone is well. I'm looking for a really good grand piano sound and I'm just wondering if anyone has any recomendations. The GarageBand grand piano sound is really quiet and I can't seem to amp it without it breaking up? Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks in advance. Steve. HeliusAlpha
I'm not sure if you have Reason 3.0, but the Concert Grand Piano in the Combinator sounds great. Also, the Pianos Refill for Reason has great sounding stuff too. If you're willing to spend some serious money, check out the Synthology Ivory Pianos sample library. It's quite a large library as well (30+ gigs). Lastly, East West/Quantum Leap make great piano libraries.
dkgross
without at doubt, IVORY is the best thing out there.
TimWheeler
I second the recommend for the Reason Piano refill. Multi-channel sampling with 7 mics individually adjustable on each piano sample, 3 separate pianos, and multiple preset mixes that can be tweaked in real time or through automation. Imagine doing a fade from room overheads to cluse up mics... during a sustained chord... very cool. I haven't heard, Ivory. I need to check it out. buzwah
For what it's worth I bought the Bosendorfer 290 from Post Music Instruments for less than $100 and was amazed at the response and overall quality. For that money how can you not try it!!
