Pitch bend on track doesn't bounce to MP3 correctly [SOLVED]

Loving life

Recommended Posts

Hello,

This is my first post. I did search the forum and found that there are a few issues with pitch bending but I could not find a solution what I experienced on my last recording when I bounced the project to a MP3.

I'm using the latest version of Logic X as well as El Capitan. The midi controller I used in the recording is a Novation Impulse 49. I recorded an intro where I pitched the wheel prior to hitting record and then pitched down prior to ending record. The editor shows the midi data recorded correctly and the track also plays back correctly in Logic X with the pitch bends.

My question is why does the pitch bend not translate to a MP3 bounce? The playback is messed up and the note bends incorrectly.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thx!

Do you have pitchbend events placed before 1 1 1 1? I would recommend you make sure that all necessary pitchbend events are after 1 1 1 1. If the beginning of your project is a little tight, consider inserting a bar (drag a one bar cycle from bar 1 to bar 2 and choose Edit > Cut/Insert Time > Insert Silence Between Locators).

David,

That's probably the issue! I definitely had the pitch wheel cranked prior to recording at event 1 1 1 1. I'll look at it later this afternoon.

Your suggestion makes perfect sense!
