Very VERY strange issue with LogicProX 10.2

Hi All

Now. This is weird. I am 99% sure it's not user error but I may be wrong. Here goes.

it seems whatever instrument I select in Logic, be that a pad or piano etc, it doesn't play the single note I select, but rather it plays a chord!!! it plays the note, a 5th and an octave!! So, if I play C2, the sound is C2, G2, C3 !!! how weird is this.

When I record anything, those notes get recorded on the staff despite my only pressing a single note on the keyboard!

Now, have I inadvertently selected a note/chord trigger or something here? because this is seriously freaking me out!!

Any help appreciated! Many thanks.

John

Create a new bank project.

if it still does it, then likely your controller is sending multiple notes - nothing to do with Logic.

if it doesn't, then the issue is with that project, so check you haven't got a MIDI processor on, or some environment processing on the MIDI input stream.

Thank you for responding so promptly, Des!

So, I changed the MIDI device to an alternate keyboard I have, and yes, you are absolutely correct, this now sends this single note. So, the erroneous controller is an M-Audio Ozonic keyboard. Any ideas how I reset this or stop it sending multi notes? Is it likely knackered, or is it a glitch that I can reset somehow?

Many thanks!
