Creating loop points within an AIFF?

Hi all,

I'm trying to edit some music for use in Max MSP. Max is able to see metadata within AIFF files and can spit out information on "sustain loop start", "sustain loop end", "release loop start", "release loop end". Aside from the fact that I can't exactly ascertain what the **** THOSE are...

When I bounce out of Logic and put some markers internally within the range that I bounced, they do show up as metadata within the AIFF file. I'm seeing the metadata via the program Snapper. But, I can't figure out how to include any "loop" info or "loop points" within the AIFF, only markers.

Everything I've searched in terms of loops and Logic only turns up help with Apple Loops, which don't seem to have internal loop points, just well-edited starting and ending points that create a file that can be looped in its entirety.

Am I making any sense? Anyone know anything about including internal loop points as metadata within an AIFF file?

Thanks in advance...
