ojan327
So I'm trying to Pitch Shift a Polyphonic Audio file, which I've always been able to do quite succesfully in Melodyne. However now, Polyphonic does not even appear as an Algorhythm option in Melodyne after Transfering, and the audio sounds bad after pitch shifting. And actually, I don't see any Alogrhythm options in Flex Pitch at all - does Flex Pitch detect the best one automatically? And possibly a related question: Why is it that the audio files appear in Stereo automatically when bringing them into the arrange window? This was not previously the case. And I wonder if it's causing the issue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!
Eric Cardenas
Flex pitch is currently not meant for polyphonic material.
David Nahmani
This should give you some options to play with: 7 Ways to change the pitch of Audio Regions And possibly a related question: Why is it that the audio files appear in Stereo automatically when bringing them into the arrange window? This was not previously the case. And I wonder if it's causing the issue. A few versions ago the display of waveforms was changed for stereo audio regions: now, starting at a certain vertical zoom level, stereo audio regions show two waveforms (L and R signals). It's a graphic-only change.
