How do I get faders to ignore MIDI volume control (7)?

Just curious... what do you want to control with CC#7 which is causing the faders to move (and which you don't want to have happen)?

I am trying to set up a live environment for stage. Faders automatically respond to CC#7. I would prefer to be able to designate which faders I want to control. Also, I want to limit the volume level (when CC7) to 0.0 instead of to 6.0 when full up.

I would just start cabling the MIDI CCs you need, and then use a transformer to filter out any remaining MIDI CC#7 before you hit the sequencer input.

 

As for changing the scale of MIDI CC#7 from -infinite to +6dB, to -infinite to 0dB, that's another transformer multiplying the value of your MIDI CC#7 by 0.71.
