Hard drive question

Is it ok to unplug a hard drive from the computer and switch to another , just as long as I shut the drive down first?

I believe so. As long as the drive you're switching is ejected from the computer its on first. Make sure that hard drive isnt being used by another program (i.e. Logic) when you unplug/shut off.

 

Other than that, its completely safe.

As long as you first unmount the drive, yes.
