tuftyone
Hi, i just watched a YouTube video where the guy chose a Korg M3 instrument from 'AU Instruments' to create the project he was demonstrating. I have no AU instruments in my Logic. Can anyone tell me why this might be and how to get them!? Thank you

Logic supports AU plugins, both instruments and effects. Many of us run many third-party plugins in our DAWs of choice, although Logic does have a lot of good stuff already built-in. However, the M3 is not a plugin (it's a hardware keyboard), so if you give a link to the video, we can see exactly what you mean.
blinkofani
Korg have a plugin for their synths but they are editors of the synth via USB and they save the settings of the synth in the project this way. But it's not a plugin that generate sounds like others AUs. Blink

des99
Yes, that's the Korg M1 plugin. It's a virtual M1 instrument, you can buy it from Korg here: http://www.korguser.net/shop/software/ In the video, he has lots of (individually puchased) third-party plugins, that's why he has a big list installed on his machine.
