Absorbalov
Hiya Im working on a project which is set at 120 bpm, its a live band recording so theres no set tempo as such , thats just what the project tempo was set at when we recorded it, I've remixed the project redone vocals, bass etc, the guitarist also has the original project so he can redo his guitar bits, he's sent the project back to me, but it looks as though he's accidentally changed the project tempo to 129 bpm when he's recorded his guitar parts, so when i go to import his new guitar into my project i can't get it to match, so bearing in mind there is no click or tempo on this track and it is a live recording, it shouldn't matter that he's changed the project tempo, so my question is, is there anything i can do to make this work, i found an old thread about smpte lock, I'm wondering if that is the correct thing to do, or am i wasting my time and he needs to rerecord it in the correct project tempo? Hope that makes sense I'm quite confused myself Thanks Rob
JakobP
Try uncheck the "Follow Tempo & Pitch" box in the region inspector ?
Absorbalov
Thanks for the reply, i looked there and it was unticked, but I've now discovered that because the tempo had been changed the regions were in completely the wrong place, so i was trying to match with the wrong place in the song, and with it being a live drummer, unless i got it in the right part of the song it was never going to match, its quite a repetitive song and guitar riff so it was quite easy to get it in the wrong place, but its all good now. cheers Rob
