Logic Pro 10 output cutting out at specific point

Hey everyone!

I have a problem in one of my projects, which has also happened in other projects but is reoccurring in only this project.

Basically, the output in my whole project cuts out at the beginning of the second section in my track. Not just one channel, but the whole project. You can see the individual channels still producing output but the main output and master do not reflect this.

I have an Ozone on the output just to increase the signal when I show people, and I've tried removing this and various other plug-ins but to no avail! I have also tried changing the audio device from my Saffire, to built-in output and also a NI Komplete 6 but the problem still persists.

I have to change the output channel to mono, and then back to stereo each time for the output to play again. This video below should hopefully show you what I'm talking about.

Once I've actioned the output like this, it works for the rest of the time the project is open, but stops working again after I close and re-open the project.

Does anyone have any tips for this?

Eric,

I'm not sure whether Ozone is the culprit since Carlos mentions that the bug occurs whether or not Ozone is loaded on the main outs channel. I understand that it's only that the video was shot with Ozone on.

Carlos, at 00:05 in the video, it seems that the sound cuts out exactly when 4 tracks (two green - possibly midi intruments - two blue - possibly audio) come into play. Have you checked out whether anything special (such as 3rd party plug-ins) sits on any of these tracks ? Have you tried feezing them (or bouncing them in place) just to see whether it changes anything ?

Hi Arnaud, thanks for your reply. Yes, they have 3rd party plug-ins, but as you can see, the tracks are already frozen.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried bouncing in place, and even bouncing the whole of that section in place, and turning off those channels, but I am still met with silence at that specific part. The only difference now is that I can take the playhead back a few bars, play it, and it will work fine, instead of changing the whole output thing. Disaster!
