tclancey Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 I'm trying to get to the bottom of a strange high pitched noise when using the headphone socket for output, 2015 book pro. I have a mini to standard jacks lead into a small mixing desk, the desk is clean and I've tried multiple channels. If I close logic and play sounds from any other source there is no noise. If I remove the lead and listen with phones there is no noise. So, what the hell? I don't want to spend money on more cables as I don't think this is the problem, the cable works perfectly outside of logic. Are the any use outputs that are better to use? Thanks. It caused by an old Link midi interface which I hadn't considered as I don't have anything connected to it at the moment. Unplug that and everything is clean.
