HeliusAlpha
I'm running an external display from my laptop; set up so logic opens the arrange window is on the 20'' display and the matrix editor on the 15''. To do this go to: System Preferences --> Displays -->Arrangement --> and make sure "Mirror Displays" is UNCHECKED . Now when you open logic you can drag the tracks to one monitor and the mixer to the other!

It's not Logic that has be set up to use 2 monitors, it has to do with your computer. What kind of computer to you have? you must have dual soundcard. If you have dual sound card, and you set it up. Then you go to preferences>Display>Arrangement, and you can drag the screens in the direction they are sitting in...... I don't always to go this site if you have other questions. You can also e-mail me at Melodyman@earthlink.net....
