When copy-pasting a track to another project it changes...

This may be my own doing, but when I try to copy-paste a track from one project to another it changes to something from that project.

 

I started out by accidentally naming the projects the same, so maybe that confuses the programme?

I've tried renaming the tracks and restarting my computer, but the files 'behind' the track probably keep their name, no matter what, right?

 

I'm only asking because creating new recordings would take the better part of a day, so any help is appreciated.

 

(Logic Pro X v. 10.2.0 on a reasonably new MacBook Pro running El Capitan)
