Logic Pro X with a Yamaha Tyros 2

I'm having a lot of difficulty setting up my Tyros 2 with the iMac and Logic Pro X.

 

I've had similar frustration when trying to pair with Garage Band, BIAB and anything else.

 

I've tried setting up with a direct USB cable, as well as MIDI interface (generic) and an Edirol UMX1, I do have the Yamaha drivers installed, but cannot seem to get any response either to or from the Tyros.

 

All was good when I was using a PC and Power Tracks Pro Audio, but since moving over to Mac it has been a real nightmare.

 

Any ideas?
